Across Michigan, parents are standing up, speaking out, and reclaiming their role in shaping the education and future of their children.
Defending parental rights, promoting transparency in education, and restoring trust between families and schools.
Protecting transparency in curriculum and classroom materials, ensuring parents know what is being taught in public schools.
Monitoring state legislation that affects student health education, parental consent, and privacy rights.
Mobilizing parents and community members to attend school board meetings, share public comments, and hold decision-makers accountable.
Supporting local chapters through volunteer coordination, educational workshops, and communications outreach.
Building bridges between parents, grandparents, and educators across Michigan.
As national debates increasingly shift toward local school boards and state-level education policy, one fact has become clear: when parents are informed and involved, communities thrive. Our role is to provide the information, organization, and tools to make that possible.
If you believe in freedom, transparency, and accountability, join us today. When parents stand together, we are unstoppable.
Defending parental rights across Wayne County and the state of Michigan.
Moms for Liberty โ Wayne County is the local chapter of the national Moms for Liberty organization. Our mission is to unite, educate, and empower parents, grandparents and community members across Wayne County and Michigan to defend parental rights, promote transparency in education, and protect the future of our children.
At the national level, Moms for Liberty states: "We are dedicated to fighting for the survival of America by unifying, educating and empowering parents to defend their parental rights at all levels of government."
We envision a Michigan where parents play the primary role in their children's education and upbringing, where school systems operate with full transparency, and where strong local chapters across counties hold district and state education authorities accountable.
National vision: "Americans empowered and thriving in a culture of Liberty."

Dear [Name]:
I am a parent of a ___ grade student at [name of school], and I am writing to get detailed information about the materials that will be taught in my child's classroom, particularly in the area of [subject matter].
As you know, the United States Supreme Court in Mahmoud v. Taylor ruled that parents have a constitutional right to opt their children out of objectionable material that violates their sincerely held religious beliefs. In order to make an informed decision, I need to know what materials are going to be used in the coming year.
As a result, I am requesting the following information:
Because this request is pursuant to and necessary to effectuate a well-established constitutional right, there should be no fee for this request. This information is not being sought for commercial purposes. As to form, inspection of hard copies, electronic versions, or access to a Google Drive where the materials are placed are acceptable methods of delivery.
If you deny any or all of this request, please cite each specific exemption you feel justifies the refusal to release the information and notify me of the appeal procedures available to me under the law.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
Sincerely,
