Program Description

John James for MI offers a mobile messaging program that provides supporters with campaign updates, event notifications, volunteer opportunities, fundraising information, and mobile donation links. By opting in to our messaging program, you will receive recurring SMS and MMS messages from the John James for Governor campaign.

User Opt-In

By providing your phone number and opting in, you consent to receive recurring automated political and fundraising text messages from John James for MI to the mobile number you provided. You may opt in by:

• Texting a keyword (such as "JOIN" or "JAMES") to our designated short code or phone number
• Entering your phone number on our website and checking the consent box
• Providing your phone number at an in-person event or on a sign-up form
• Providing verbal consent to a campaign volunteer or staff member

Consent to receive messages is not a condition of purchase or any other obligation. You may opt in to the program without making a donation or taking any other action.

In no event shall John James for MI, its affiliates, campaign staff, vendors, or partners be liable for any damages arising from your participation in the messaging program, including but not limited to direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.

T-Mobile Disclaimer

T-Mobile is not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. T-Mobile does not endorse or sponsor the content of messages sent through this program. As always, check with your wireless carrier for details on your specific text messaging plan and any charges that may apply.

Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Information collected through the mobile messaging program is subject to our Privacy Policy. Your mobile opt-in data and consent information will not be shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.

Terms of Use

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan and applicable federal law, including the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA). Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in the courts of the State of Michigan.
